ANNE S HERNANDEZ MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONAL
ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
I began my career as a Public Affairs intern for the Art Gallery of Ontario. I was then hired on for the summer by the Marketing Department and later offered a full time position in the Design Studio. Even before that first intership I was extremely passionate about the arts. Working in such a creative environment left me with a keen sense of visual appreciation and design. I'm able to look at creative concepts not only from a strategic point but also from the design side. More importantly, when I feel that something is "off" I'm able to articulate it and make suggestions.

Art Gallery of Ontario Working in the AGO Design Studio meant I was involved in the print production of all pieces. From Marketing, to Exhibition Graphics, to Retail Products to Membership Material. It was from producing catalogues that I developed my true understanding of the print process. Have you ever printed a duotone book on a one-colour press? No. I have.

Art Gallery of Ontario One of the last exhibitions I worked on was Charlotte Salomon. Life? or Theatre? It is also the exhibition I am most proud to have worked on. Her story told through gouaches moved me like no other exhibition has since.

First Canadian Place - Arts Brookfield One of the reasons I love working on the First Canadian Place account so much is because it allows me to still be involved in the Arts. Their Arts & Events program constantly introduces me to new artists of all genres and mediums.

First Canadian Place Through working with First Canadian Place I've expanded my production scope. I now know where and how to produce stage backdrops and concert banners. Also, the fact that I get to attend some amazing free concerts is pretty cool too!
